Liberty Science Center (LSC) fans both young and old have a lot to geek out about. Jersey City, the soon-to-be most populated city in New Jersey, will be home to SciTech Scity, a four-pillar campus (or “mini-city”) dedicated to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) innovation, progression and education.

Developed by Liberty Science Center CEO Paul Hoffman, SciTech Scity will feature opportunities for science professionals, entrepreneurs, students and kids alike. The 16-acre property includes the LSC, the largest interactive science center in the area plus three other main facilities:

  • The LSC K-12 school, which will bring new STEM developments, curriculum and education to Jersey City and surrounding areas; kids who graduate from the K-8 program will have scholarships available for the high school, as well as access to internships and apprenticeships on campus

  • Edge Works, a cutting-edge take on the modern workplace featuring more than 160,000 square feet of studios, research labs, workspaces and more

  • Scholars Village, which will host STEM grad students and visiting SciTech Scity professionals and guests for up to 90 days

It’s unclear when this futuristic science hub will be ready for visitors, but we’re betting construction will be worth the wait.
