IT’SUGAR has been open for more than a year now at American Dream but has recently opened the first-ever Oreo Café on the third floor of the candy department store. Take the kids for some sweet desserts along with some fun Oreo merch.

If you’re a fan of the famous sandwich cookie, this newly opened small walk-up café is definitely for you. The entire menu of items is crafted with concoctions made with Oreos. You can get the Cheesecake Factory’s famed Oreo Cookies & Cream Cheesecake, an Oreo Waffle Sundae (yes, there are Oreo crumbles in the waffle mix), an Oreo Brownie Sundae and an Oreo Milkshake. Looking for something not entirely chocolatey? There’s an Oreo Strawberry Smoothie, with Oreo cookie pieces mixed in.

During our visit, we tried the Oreo Frosted Cold Brew, which is vanilla ice cream with a cold brew syrup to add a coffee flavor. The drink is topped with whipped cream and Oreo pieces.

The kids loved the Twist Your Oreo menu, where you can mix and match your favorite ingredients. Pick a base—waffle, ice cream sandwich or cone—and then add up to four toppings such as Oreo cookie pieces, Oreo creme, sprinkles, praline pecans, chocolate chips, milk chocolate pretzel nibs, chocolate syrup and more.

The café, which is decorated with Oreos (make sure to look up at the massive one on the ceiling), only has a few seats and tables available, so when it is crowded you might have to either stand to eat or walk downstairs to the mall where there are hand-shaped chairs outside Nickelodeon Universe.

While you’re there, check out the Oreo merch–there’s everything from t-shirts to cookie jars. And if you’re hooked on a certain hard-to-find kind of Oreo, like gluten-free, salted caramel brownie Oreos or lemon Oreos, they have a variety of cookies available as well.

The Oreo Café is in American Dream in East Rutherford and is located on the third floor of IT’SUGAR. Hours vary but check American Dream’s site before you go.
