UPDATE:Â IT’SUGAR, the world’s first candy department store, is slated to open on Saturday, December 14 at American Dream.
Now that American Dream is officially opening on October 25, we’re getting more and more psyched about the indoor snow park, theme park rides and everything in between.
The sweetest recent addition? IT’SUGAR, an experiential specialty candy shop with more than 100 shops in 26 states (including spots in Atlantic City, Tinton Falls, Wildwood and NYC). The retailer is famous for over-the-top sugar creations, but its American Dream location will be the world’s first candy department store.
The store will span more than 22,000 square feet and boast three floors, making it the world’s biggest candy store that sells varieties from multiple companies and manufacturers. Besides shopping for edible treats, the kids can feast their eyes on everything from an immersive lollipop garden filled with nearly 10K lollipops, the Oreo TWISTiD café and more than 5,000 square feet of candy bins filled with all their favorite sweets.
Don’t worry about missing it when you go: You’ll be able to spot the 3-story-tall candy Statue of Liberty made from more than 1.5 million Jelly Belly jelly beans at the front entrance. It’ll be adjacent to DreamWorks Water Park and by Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park and the NHL-sized ice rink.
Sugar monsters will get to feast their eyes on more than 10,000 candy choices, including favorites from Pez, Peeps, OREO, Sour Patch Kids, Reese’s and more. IT’SUGAR is a sweet spot on American Dream’s mouthwatering culinary spread of more than 100 eateries, 14-18 full-service restaurants and VICE MUNCHIES’ first-ever food hall. We can’t wait to dig in!
