New Brunswick Public Library, New Brunswick
In partnership with New Brunswick Cultural Center Inc. and Rutgers Indian Graduate Student Association, the library presents music and dance performances, henna, face painting, sampling of Indian food, and Holi color play, all outdoors. NOTE: This is postponed due to the weather but has not yet been rescheduled.
South Street Seaport Neighborhood Holi Celebration
South Street Seaport Museum, New York, NY
You’ll get free admission to the museum to explore the galleries and historic ships, while also eating Indian food, watching the Colors of Krishna’s Love puppet show, checking out dance workshops and performances, and throwing colorful pigments. At Wavertree, listen to a book reading and talk on traditional foods of Holi, then take part in a cooking segment and tasting. Walk past the Holi Collaborative Mural at Pier 16 and ask for a colorful paintball so you can add your touch to the painting.

Color Run 2024: A Celebration of Holi and Songkran

Holi is the Indian festival of colors, celebrated by throwing colored powder. Songkran is the Thai New Year, celebrated with water play. While running this 5K or walking in the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk, you’ll be covered in powders along the route. After, there will be music, activities, a color play zone and a photo booth.
