Gotham FC’s soccer match against Bay FC this coming Saturday at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison puts the focus on female pro athletes. Girls in Sports Day is a chance for young soccer fans to watch some of the sport’s biggest stars in action.
Gotham FC, New Jersey’s professional women’s soccer team, has drawn increasing attention and recognition since winning its second NWSL championship in 2025 and the inaugural 2024-25 Concacaf W Champions Cup. The team’s roster includes standout players like Rose Lavelle, Jaedyn Shaw, Emily Sonnett, Tierna Davidson, Midge Purce, Esther González, Jess Carter, Gabi Portilho and Ann-Katrin Berger. Defender Lilly Reale was named Rookie of the Year for the 2025 NWSL season.

At Girls in Sports Day, fans can take part in a Fun Run, Fan Fest, sign-making, live entertainment and more. Kids will also get a free water bottle.
