Bergen County moviegoers have a brand new option when it comes to choosing a theater. The AMC Dine-In Shops at Riverside 9 in Hackensack boasts all the amenities you would expect at their dine-in theaters— signature recliners, a MacGuffins bar and food delivered straight to your seat. But this one has a big extra in the form of an “Ultra Lux” look and feel.

In fact, the new hotspot was formerly home to a Saks 5th Avenue. The theater’s interior evokes an old movie-going experience, complete with elegant chandelier lighting and a lobby meant to inspire old Hollywood nostalgia. The theater, which opened on Wednesday, September 13, is AMC’s next step in providing a more upscale experience.
“With AMC Dine-In, we’ve upped a night out by bringing you the best of both worlds, a restaurant and movie theater, as one amazing experience,” said Jennifer Douglass, Vice President of AMC Dine-In Operations.

Riverside 9’s new hotspot is less than three miles from another AMC multiplex in the Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus. The theater also features online ticketing, reserved seating and ticketless entry. In addition to the theater’s long list of restaurant-quality appetizers and entrees, moviegoers can indulge in milkshakes, popcorn and candy. Tickets run between $14-$16.
