Get ready for a next-level sugar rush. A 30,000-square-foot Museum of Candy is coming to NYC this summer in Chelsea. The museum is created by Sugar Factory, the Insta-worthy sweets chain famous for celebrity diners and huge cocktails served in goblets chock-full of candy.
Your little cookie monsters will marvel at 15 experiential candy-themed rooms and a dessert market. Attractions include the self-proclaimed world’s largest gummy bear, candy murals, a candy unicorn and, of course, plenty of tasting areas. Grown-ups will travel back in time visiting Candy Memory Lane, where you’ll learn the history of the sweet stuff and become reacquainted with your fave childhood treats. If you consider yourself a baker of sorts, don’t miss the DIY candy stations and candy making demos.
Once you’re done exploring, chow down at the full-service restaurant or have a quick bite at the outdoor cafe. But remember: no meal is complete without dessert! Venture through the dessert marketplace to bring something sweet home with you.
Sugar Factory is launching the museum first in NYC, but plans to open similar locales in L.A. and elsewhere.
Museum of Candy will be located at 656 6th Ave. and W. 20th St. Keep an eye on the Museum of Candy website for prices, contact info and more, all TBA.
