As Sheriff Dwight “Dewey” Riley from the “Scream” movie franchise, actor David Arquette knows Halloween,  So if he says a New Jersey town is the “Halloween Capital of the World,” it must be true.

In an Instagram video posted to Downtown Cranford’s Instagram page, Arquette talks about all of the upcoming spooky and not-so-spooky events taking place in the Union County town, on behalf of Mayor Brian Andrews. He mentions the Downtown Scarecroll Stroll, Pumpkin Carve Out, parade, Ghostbusters Day, library storytimes, scary movies at the Cranford Theater, trunk-or-treats and the Monster Mash as just some of the highlights of the Halloween season.

Arquette’s video was made courtesy of Cameo, a site where you can pay to have celebrities deliver a message. We thought it was a genius idea on the part of Cranford!
