We love high-flying roller coasters, thrill rides and haunted attractions – but sometimes our kids need a more chill amusement park experience. That’s why we’re excited to hear about a new Universal Destinations & Experiences theme park that offers just that.

The one-of-a-kind Universal Kids Resort planned for Frisco, Texas, is specifically for families, with lots of immersive themed lands, interactive and playful shows, mild attractions, character meet-and-greets, unique merch and fun food.

It’ll be smaller than the Universal theme parks you may be used to, since it’s only on 97 acres. But there will still be a themed 300-room hotel on site, with more property available for future expansion.

The groundbreaking was held in November 2023, and more details about the project will be revealed over time.
