Christmas Village in Philadelphia is taking over downtown Philly for a weihnachtsmarkt-like winter wonderland.
This is the 18th year that LOVE Park, City Halls Courtyard and the North Broad section of Philly will come alive with holiday cheer. You’ll feel like you’re in Germany as vendors set up in traditional wooden booths, offering holiday gifts, ornaments, jewelry and arts and crafts in the style of an authentic German market.

Try a wine or spirits tasting, take a ride on the historic carousel or Ferris wheel, and watch as the kids go ’round on a kids train. The Festival of Trees display serves as a fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; you can vote for your favorite tree and take pictures with Santa.

Popular foods include bratwurst, Raclette cheese, strudel, schnitzel, spätzle and Belgian fries.

The festive Käthe Wohlfahrt tent features Christmas gifts from Germany, including glass ornaments, music boxes, nutcrackers, Schwibbogen and incense smokers. There will be more than 120 vendors spread out across three city blocks offering their unique giftware in the shadow of Philadelphia’s iconic City Hall.

The Christmas Village is open from 12-8 pm Sundays – Thursdays, and Fridays and Saturdays from 12-9 pm, from November 22 to December 24 (open on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, but closed November 24-26). The location of the village is City Hall and LOVE Park at JFK Plaza, 1500 Arch St., Philadelphia. Admission is free.
