Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille introduced a brand-new Halloween pop-up bar last month. The elves have been hard at work transforming the Cape May institution into the Jingle Bar, its newest Christmas pop-up bar that debuted last weekend.
The décor is top-notch, with people lining up down the avenue to see all the Instagram-worth decorations. The specialty cocktails include festive drinks like Mistletoe Margarita, Blue Christmas, Snowflake Eggnog, Peppermint Tini and The Grinch. New this year are Holiday Cocktail Trees, which have four, six or eight drinks – either made of espresso, margarita or your choice off the holiday menu. There is live music every weekend.
The restaurant is holding a family-friendly Brunch with Santa on December 7 and 14. Parents are invited to the Ugly Sweater Party on December 21, or All That Glitters NYE Soiree on December 31.
It’s the season for giving back, too. Bring a donation for Toys for Toys through December 17. Harry’s sister property, Madison Resorts, will donate $1 from the sale of each Candy Cane Crush drink purchased from December 13 to 15 to Toys for Tots as well.
Jingle Bar is open Thursdays to Sundays through January 4 at Harry’s Ocean Bar & Grille, 1025 Beach Ave., Cape May. Hours are 2-9 pm Thursdays, 12-10 pm Fridays, 8 am to 11 pm Saturdays, and 8 am to 8 pm Sundays. Jingle Bar is also open from 2-8 pm Wednesday, November 27; 4 pm to 1 am on NYE; and 8 am to noon on New Year’s Day; but closed on Thanksgiving.
Cape May has lots of holiday fun to offer during the season: historic homes and inns decorated for the holidays, red trolley tours, candlelight house tours, the West Cape May Christmas Parade on December 2, the Holiday Crafts and Collectibles Show on December 9, and shopping along Washington Street Mall.
