If you and your kids are fans of Jurassic Park, now’s your chance to see the real thing–almost! After stopping in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Boston, Dallas and other cities, the Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru Experience is coming to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford this Friday, October 2 and has been extended until November 1. The experience will also be open at Point Lookout Lido Beach in Hempstead, NY on the same dates.
The parking lots of MetLife and Point Lookout will be transformed into a drive-thru experience where you can interact with many of the 70 dinosaurs. Many are life-size! The Megalodon is 50 feet long and the Spinosaurus is 80 feet long with a huge, swinging tail.
During this hour-long ride through the dino-infested jungle, you and the kids can learn about the ancestors of modern-day fish, and see the prehistoric creatures they came from. The huge tanks will bring you up close and personal to these giant fish.
Experts have meticulously perfected the look and movement of the dinosaurs for Jurassic Quest to make sure that they are as life-like as possible. You and the kids can get out of the car and meet the baby dinos and their dino trainers and you can take a free safari picture with your family. The experience also has an audio tour as you drive through the exhibit.
The Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru Experience will be open from October 2 to October 11 (not including October 5 and 6) from 9 am-8 pm every day. Opening day will run from 11 am-8 pm. The experience is $49 per car and allows up to 8 people in a car. You must reserve your tickets in advance and do it soon because this event has sold out many weekends in other cities.
Although you and your family will remain inside your car for the majority of the event, you should bring masks and follow social distancing and handwashing guidelines during the portions of the drive-thru where you will be allowed to exit the car. The team behind the experience will be sanitizing equipment, dinosaurs, and workstations frequently throughout the event. If you have questions about your vehicle, make sure to check the Jurassic Quest website in advance.
