Camp Invention®

Meet the Camp

For more than 35 years, the National Inventors Hall of Fame® has brought hands-on STEM experiences to rising K-6 students across the country through its flagship summer program, Camp Invention®. With an all-new program each summer created to ignite the spirit of innovation, the 2026 program, Spark, empowers campers to explore everything from robotic capybaras to space exploration through four dynamic experiences.

“As children collaborate to take on fun, hands-on challenges, they discover their potential as creators, innovators and entrepreneurs while building persistence and creative problem-solving skills,” explains Corey Nielsen, marketing coordinator for the Hall of Fame.

This year’s highlights include Fur-ensics™, where campers sharpen their detective skills and team up with their own robotic capybara to investigate a series of mischievous pranks. In Make Waves™, campers dive into the world of entrepreneurship as they splash into hands-on physics experiments and design an eye-catching billboard boat. In The Infringers™, campers team up with Hall of Fame inductees to spark their innovative superpowers as they identify and solve challenges in their community and around the world. Sparking their imagination in Space Morphers™, children build a DIY space rocket and launch a mission to transform a new planet’s atmosphere, terrain and ecosystem for future habitation.

“Parents and families consistently share that their children continue creating and inventing long after camp ends,” Nielsen says. “They see an increased interest and understanding of STEM concepts, improvements in self-confidence and a renewed spark of creativity.”
