February 14
Cupid’s Chase 5K
Seaside Heights Boardwalk, Seaside Heights
Runners, walkers, parents pushing baby strollers, and people in wheelchairs can be part of the annual Valentine’s Day race, which raises funds for Community Options.
March 7
Guinness Run
Highlands
The Highlands Business Partnership invites beer drinkers to enter their pre-St. Paddy’s Day race, where runners fill up their cups and race from Off the Hook to Grand T and back; the person who ahs the most amount of Guinness in their cup at the finish line wins. Fans are invited to dress up in Irish clothing, hats and costumes and cheer along the way. Everyone is invited to the post-race party at Off the Hook, where there will be appetizers, live music and much more beer. Note: this isn’t an actual 5K, but it’s still a fun race.
April 26
Run Wild for the Zoo 5K and One-Mile Fun Run/Walk
Philadelphia Zoo, Philadelphia, PA
Run or walk through Philadelphia Zoo during the race, then stop by your favorite exhibits after.
June 14
MonmouthNJ 250 Stars & Strides Flag Day 5K & 1-Mile Freedom Walk
Bell Works, Holmdel
Wear red, white and blue as you join this race (or non-timed walk) in honor of America’s semiquincentennial.
