After 14 years of offering an epic walk-through dinosaur experience, Field Station: Dinosaurs in Leonia will close its doors on November 9. But not before giving fans one last chance to bring home a piece of the prehistoric fun. The Bergen County attraction is selling its life-sized animatronic dinosaurs on Facebook Marketplace, from a 29-foot stegosaurus to a 39-foot-tall T. rex.

You’ll be the envy of all your neighbors, clearly, because these prehistoric figures move, growl and roar.

Some of the 30+ options include a 29-foot-long stegosaurus, on sale for $1,260; an adult triceratops with a price tag of $2,230; the must-have 39-foot-long and 18-foot-tall T-rex for $2,700; and a 75-foot-long, 20-foot-tall apatosaurus at a reasonable $2,860.

Over the past 14 years, there have been dozens of life-sized structures to marvel at in the closest thing New Jersey has to Jurassic Park; plus a dinosaur dance party, fossil digs, the Dinosaur Daycare puppet show, the Jurassic Zoo Bounce House, the T-Rex Feeding Frenzy, and workshops with real-life paleontologists in Bergen County.

This month, A Haunted and Hilarious Dinosaur Halloween: Volume 2 takes place from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, featuring The Case of the Lost Skull, Tales From the Dinosaur Graveyard, and a Cretaceous Costume Party. There will be other shows, games and activities on the schedule that are included with the Day Pass Admission.

Field Station: Dinosaurs is located in Overpeck County Park in Leonia. Park hours are 10 am to 5 pm Saturdays and Sundays, through November 9 – plus Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day on Monday, October 13; and November 6 and 7 during NJEA Convention Week. Tickets, group reservations, and full event details are available at JerseyDinos.com.
