Camuso Holiday Display
Robert Harp Drive Livingston
For many decades before his passing, Ernie Camuso – who was a toymaker, and later machinist, by trade – collected more than 100 animated robotic figures and created one of the biggest Christmas displays in NJ. The centerpiece is the Christmas tree built by Ernie – it stands 26 feet high, rotates on a mechanical base, and has more than 10,000 colored lights adorning more than 100 individual tree branches, capped with a 4-foot lighted star. After he passed, the collection was donated to the Camuso Committee, who restored the pieces and continued to light up the display every year.
