This resto’s all about mindful in-season meals that don’t sacrifice taste. The menu’s always rotating in an effort to showcase what’s in season and best for your body (and taste buds!) at any given time. There are currently 28 locations in the US, this being the first in NJ.
The Arizona franchise is the brainchild of chefs, restaurateurs and a doctor of integrative medicine. The menu is based on the Anti-Inflammatory Pyramid and diet, and aims to encourage eating habits that treat your body simply and well. There are also plenty of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.
The stars of the current summer menu include butterfly pea flower (hello, antioxidants!), heirloom tomatoes (to energize and detoxify), watermelon (immunity) and lavender (anti-stress and anxiety). Cocktails are also made using in-season ingredients and there’s plenty of wine, beer and cider to choose from, too.
If you’re bringing the kids, pizza is safe bet. Go with the basic margherita, or mix it up with chicken sausage, roasted fennel and smoked gouda. Bowls are internationally inspired and personalized by protein. Try the teriyaki quinoa, chock-full of veggies and toasted sesame, or the Korean noodles, made with sweet potato glass noodles, shiitake mushrooms, heirloom carrots and bean sprouts.
The mall’s renovation will also include more eateries (like LT Bar & Grill) and shops, a concierge lounge, valet parking and more. Follow True Food Kitchen on Facebook or visit the website for updates on opening day.
