There’s still a ton of hype surrounding Universal Epic Universe, which opened in Orlando in May, and a new immersive exhibit is bringing the theme park action close to home.
The Franklin Institute, Comcast NBCUniversal, and creative design firm MDSX will debut “Universal Theme Parks: The Exhibition” next year. Tickets are finally on sale after much anticipation since the original announcement in August.

The plan is for eight themed galleries to spread across 18,000 square feet, including 25 interactive experiences and more than 100 original artifacts from attractions like Jurassic World, DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon, Jaws, Illumination’s Minions, The Secret Life of Pets, Super Nintendo World, and Universal Monsters.
There will be animatronics, robots, ride designs, costumes and special effects that mimic The World Famous Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood, giving you an insider’s look at the storytelling and building behind the rides and worlds at the Florida and California theme parks. There’ll be storyboard art, animation, game design, visual effects and props.

Some of the exhibits let you build coasters and program animated figures using real theme park tools and tech; pose with costumes from characters like Toothless, Po and Tigress; learn the science that powers the parks; and step into different attractions.

Universal Theme Parks: The Exhibition will be open from February 14 through September 7, 2026, at The Franklin Institute, 222 N. 20th St., Philadelphia, PA. Daytime tickets are available from 9:30 am to 5 pm daily, and cost $47 for adults, $43 for teens ages 13-17, and $41 for kids ages 3-12. Daytime tickets include admission to the entire Franklin Institute. If you choose to go after hours, you can view the exhibition only (not the museum) from 5 pm to close for a cost of $25 for adults, $25 for teens and $25 for kids. Tickets are timed and dated.
