During the year, Indian Acres Tree Farm is known for its Spring Farm Mall, sorghum maze, bonfires and fall festival. But come November, the South Jersey farm turns into a winter wonderland with its Illuminated Walking Trail.
Start your night with a stroll along the trail, which has tens of thousands of lights. There are snowmen and trees made from upcycled materials that come from the farm. Along the way, you’ll see illuminated boxes with mini scenes, a Fairy Garden, a secret gnome village, a sled in the Christmas tree fields, a penguin igloo town, Stan’s Photo Stop, Birdhouse Row and the white pine tree field that has lights “snowing” down on you. At the end of the trail you’ll come across Rita’s Splendiferous Village, with even more mini towns and festive décor.
After walking through, stop by the bonfires for hot chocolate and s’mores.
The trail takes about an hour to complete each time, and the fields are wheelchair—and stroller-accessible. However, if it rains, the path could get muddy. Also, dogs are not allowed.
Aside from the trail, you can take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, Rudolph and the Grinch on select days. You can pick out a Christmas tree to take home or visit the Gift Shop on your way out.
Indian Acres Tree Farm is located at 111 Tuckerton Rd., Medford. Winter activities take place on select nights from November 22 to December 30; hours are 5-8 pm Sundays to Thursdays, and 5-9 pm Fridays and Saturdays. You must book a designated time slot. Ticket prices range from $14 to $18, with discounts available for groups of 20 or more.
See a part of the trail on our Instagram page and enter for a chance to win a family four-pack of tickets.
