Now, you can add safety and high household income to the list when it comes to six towns across the state that have just been named among the 30 Safest and Richest U.S. Cities to Live, according to GOBankingRates.

Although most of the six NJ towns on the list are in northern New Jersey, one South Jersey city topped the list as well.

The areas were analyzed based on average household income, total population, total households, cost of living indexes, expenditures, age range and crime rates.

No. 7 on the list is Ridgewood. The population of Ridgewood is 26,000 residents. The median household income is $277,000, but the average single-family home value is $1.09 million. The violent crime rate is .30 per 1,000 residents, and the property crime rate is 7.63 per 1,000 residents.

No. 9 on the list is Westfield. The population of Westfield is 30,000. The median household income is $281,000, but the average single-family home value is $1.18 million. The violent crime rate is .16 per 1,000 residents, and the property crime rate is 7.61 per 1,000 residents.

No. 11 on the list is Glen Ridge. The population of Glen Ridge is 7,700 residents. The average household median income is $317,000, but the average single-family home value is $1.16 million. The violent crime rate is .52 per 1,000 residents, and the property crime rate is 13.91 per 1,000 residents.

No. 12 on the list is Haddonfield. The population of Haddonfield is 12,000. The average household median income is $264,000, but the average single-family home value is $763,000. The violent crime rate is .32 per 1,000 residents, and the property crime rate is 12.11 per 1,000 residents.

No. 13 on the list is Summit. The population of Summit is 22,000. The average household median income is $291,000, but the average single-family home value is $1.3 million. The violent crime rate is .31 per 1,000 residents, and the property crime rate is 8.92 per 1,000 residents.

No. 14 on the list is Chatham. The population of Chatham is 9,200. The average household median income is $307,000, but the average single-family home value is $1.2 million. The violent crime rate is .11 per 1,000 residents, and the property crime rate is 7.20 per 1,000 residents.
