New Jersey has its share of beautiful college campuses, and two were just named the most picturesque in the country.
Journo Research released a study that named Princeton University the fifth-most Instagrammable campus, with more than 833,000 Insta posts showcasing snapshots of the campus; and Rutgers University at No. 8, with 566,000 posts tagging its three campuses in New Brunswick, Newark and Camden.
The analysis by QR Code Generator analyzed Instagram hashtags relating to over 100 colleges in America, as identified by Top Universities. Hashtags for the colleges’ names, common shortened names, or acronyms that are popularly used were examined on Instagram to discover the colleges with the highest number of posts on the platform. This data then ranked the colleges based on their popularity on social media.
We love the Ivy League college for its incredible gothic architecture across its 200 buildings. The downtown Princeton area also has sprawling lawns amid Palmer Square and Nassau Street, with an abundance of cute boutiques and popular restaurants, plus indie bookstores, ice cream shops and more.
With 700 buildings across three campuses, Rutgers also has its share of green space, new metro areas for students and city buildings downtown.
