If you’ve ever taken the kids to Van Saun County Park, you’ve probably stopped at the zoo, the train and the playgrounds. This winter, there are a bunch more reasons to take the kids to this beloved Paramus gem.
The Rink at Bergen County Winter Wonderland offers open-air ice skating (on a brand-new rink) and ice bumper cars. Check out the pavilion, ride the carousel, shop at the crafts market village, order from local food trucks, listen to live music, relax at the heated hospitality tent, and chill at the beer and wine garden.
The village officially opens on November 29, with a Christmas tree lighting planned for 6 pm December 14, the menorah lighting at 6:30 pm on December 28, and a kinara lighting at 5:30 pm December 29.
All Access Tickets include admission, skating and one carousel ticket for $20. General admission is $10. Seniors, veterans and active military get a $5 discount. Kids 3 and younger are free.
Bergen County Winter Wonderland is located at Van Saun County Park, 216 Forest Ave., Paramus. Dates are November 29 through January 12, 2025, but hours of operation vary, so visit www.bergencountywinterwonderland.com/calendar for an up-to-date schedule.
