The Best Fairs and Festivals in NJ in June

There is plenty of family-friendly fun to go around at this month's fairs and festivals!

Fried Oreos, thrill rides and 50/50 raffles are pretty much staples of New Jersey fairs and festivals. Grab the kids for an afternoon or evening of family fun at these carnivals and food fests scheduled through the end of the month.

 

June 16-19

Barefoot Country Music Festival
Wildwood
The Northeast’s largest outdoor country music fest on the beach will host more than 30 of country music’s biggest stars and up-and-comers on multiple stages on the beach. Headliners included Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Florida George Line, Cole Swindell, as well as over 30 additional country artists.

Tri-County Fair
Rockaway
Come out and enjoy rides, kiddie rides, games of chance, fair foods, free family entertainment, fireworks, a complimentary live musical showcase, an old time car show, monster truck rides, and the Illusions of Jay Mattioli (as seen on America’s Got Talent)!

NORTH BRUNSWICK YOUTH SPORTS FESTIVAL

June 17-July 4
Youth Sports Festival
North Brunswick
Entertainment includes pig racing, motorcycle show, magic show, petting zoo, laser light show, fireworks, food vendors and live music.

June 18

Create in the Crest Arts Festival
Wildwood Crest
This first-ever event will feature artists, entrepreneurs, photographers, musicians and other creators demonstrating, teaching and selling their art.

Craft Beer Fest
Somerville
Tapastre and Project PUB bring back the annual summer beer festival featuring a lineup of craft beers, meads, ciders, seltzers and sangria. There will be live music all day from the JJ Lynch Band and The Big Fuss. Enjoy empanadas, artisan ice cream, woodfired pizza, fresh made-to-order donuts and more. Try your hand at life-sized games of beer pong, Connect 4 and corn hole.

11th Annual New Jersey Beer & Food Festival
Hamburg
Enjoy mouth-watering BBQ paired with tastings of over 200 beers and specialty brews. Take flight with hot air balloon rides, dance to live music and have a blast with lawn games.

Summer Solstice Music Festival
Basking Ridge
Music in the Somerset Hills and The Ross Farm present: Summer Solstice Music Festival, featuring a variety of musical offerings spanning multiple genres and traditions. The mainstage event will be a performance of Carl Orff’s masterpiece “Carmina Burana,” plus Americana and ’60s rock from Just Married and Memphis soul from Nick Ryan and the Mess. Throughout the day there will be family activities, food trucks and vendors, and featured art by local artists.

Manville-Hillsborough Food Truck and Music Fest
Manville
Bring your appetite, lawn chairs, blankets and any four-legged family members. Hosted by Manville-Hillsborough Elks Lodge 2119 to benefit St. Ann’s Classical Academy.

Berries and Brews at Ort Farms
Long Valley
Berries and Brews will feature farm activities (including pick-your-own berries, cow train, pony rides, etc.), craft artisan makers brought to you by Marketspace Vendor Events, live music, food trucks, and craft beer by Jersey Girl Brewing.

REDHAWK NATIVE AMERICAN ARTS COUNCIL

Native American Heritage Celebration
East Brunswick
Introduce your children to Native American culture. The two-day event features a full contest Pow Wow attracting more than 500 Native American artists, educators, singers, dancers and performing groups from across the Americas. There will be over 40 artist booths selling crafts, jewelry, food and more. There will be a tipi raising.

St. Gregory the Great 43rd Annual Family Carnival
Hamilton Twp.
The whole family will enjoy games, rides, food, a super 50/50 raffle, Funny Factory Productions, Dan the Balloon Man, and then fireworks on Saturday night.

Our Lady of the Lake R.C. Church Carnival
Sparta
Come out and have some fun, food, meet friends and enjoy the games and rides. The OLL Carnival offers professional games, extensive selection of food and desserts, and rides for all ages, from an experienced amusement company.

Farm Festival
Clifton
Join City Green at the Farm Eco-Center for Farm Fest! Enjoy live music, grab a bite to eat or bring your own picnic, shop, and visit the goats and chickens in the Learning Farm.

St. Stan’s Carnival
Sayreville
There will be entertainment, raffles, tricky tray, games of chance, 50/50 raffles, food vendors, beer garden, a Friday fish fry and more.

STATE FAIR MEADOWLANDS

June 23 – July 10

State Fair Meadowlands
East Rutherford
Teens and adults will love the rides, like the Ski Lift, roller coasters, a 120-foot gondola wheel and more. For the little kids, there are 35 rides in Kiddie Land just for them. There’s a big petting zoo as well, and tons of games to play. After building up an appetite, try the Mexican concession, Greek food, or Puerto Rican food from Taino’s Kitchen in Newark. The hypnotist and the racing pigs are two staple shows, plus this year there will be an illusionist and a magic show. There is also Jurassic Kingdom Lockdown, Cycle Circus, the BIG BEE Transforming Car and others. Enjoy fireworks on July 3 and 4.

Bridgefest
Ocean Grove
This year’s theme is “Where is your Hope,” from Psalm 31:24. See and hear your favorite on-air Bridge Radio FM pastors. Also, join Bridge Bible Talk live on Friday at 3 p.m. for answers Bible questions. There will be family activities, a beach baptism, boardwalk games, sponsors, food trucks, and a Friday night concert, hosted by The Bridge Christian Radio, featuring Grammy-nominated Christian artist Jeremy Camp.

June 24 – 26
Rock, Ribs and Ridges Festival
Augusta
Jim Messina, Duane Betts, Revisiting Creedence, Jessica Lynn, 49 Winchester and Screamin Eagle Band have been added to the Rock, Ribs and Ridges Festival 2022 lineup! Stop by for a day or camp out during the weekend while eating ribs, of course, and listening to great, live music.

June 24 – July 4
L.E.A.D. Fest State Carnival
West Windsor
Enjoy Robinson’s Racing Pigs, Grandpa Cratchet, Cowtown USA, weekend craft and business fair, rides, petting farm, pie eating contest, and nightly entertainment. Southern Rock Fest featuring the Marshall Tucker Bank, the Kentucky HeadHunters and Southern Steel will be July 2.

Indulge in five hours of scrumptious samplings and cocktails at more than 20 restaurants, eateries and establishments.

Green Leaf Pet Resort Canine Carnival
Millstone Township
Join Green Leaf Pet Resort for a celebration of all things K through 9 (as in K-9 canine companions) that will feature a plethora of activities for both dogs and owners, such as competitive dock diving, carnival games, vendors, luring courses, live musical performances, New Jersey State Police demonstrations, frisbee shows, interactive shows, food trucks, and raffles and giveaways.

Monmouth Park Wine & Pizza

Monmouth Park Racetrack has expanded its annual wine fest to include – pizza! Enjoy live music from Pez Head on Saturday, and All That Roxx on Sunday, in addition to live horseracing. Kids can have fun with face painting, clowns, pony rides and a bounce house.

This food truck and music festival will be a fun day full of great food, amazing music and activities for the entire family to benefit Woodlands Wildlife Refuge.

Firefly Festival
Princeton
Enjoy an “electrifying” evening of nature, music, food and outdoor fun at Terhune Orchards’ Firefly Festival. Make your own wings and antenna. Enjoy live music by Lolly Hopwood. Pony rides will be available all evening. The special barnyard fun play area will be open for evening play.
