Jon Stewart + Stone Temple Pilots Set to Be Part of This Year’s North to Shore Festival

The celeb lineup includes concerts, music festivals and comedy shows in two NJ towns

When Prudential North to Shore Festival returns this June, it will be all about Laughs and Jams.

This will be the third year that the music and comedy festival celebrates the artistic talents of New Jersey, visiting cities across the state.

This year’s lineup will include Bleachers; George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic; Gregory Porter; Jack’s Manequinn; Jon Stewart, John Mulaney, and Pete Davidson; Josh Johnson; Lawrence; Natalia Lafourcade; Slightly Stoopid; Stone Temple Pilots; Streetlight Manifesto; The String Cheese Incident; Third Eye Blind; Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and many others.

Two of the festival’s most anticipated events — LL COOL J’s  Rock The Bells and HOT 97 Summer Jam — will bring hip-hop energy to Newark’s Prudential Center.

There’s also a special Prudential North to Shore Community Arts Awards program that awards local artists, arts organizations, nonprofits and small businesses with up to $10,000 each to self-produce performing and visual arts events during the festival. Select winners will perform as opening acts for headliners appearing at mainstage and club venues in Asbury Park and Newark.

A portion of all ticket sales will benefit Growing Healthy Pantries – a partnership between Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Community FoodBank of New Jersey, FoodBank of South Jersey, Fulfill, Mercer Street Friends, Norwescap and Feeding America, which addresses food security statewide and supports 1,000 food pantries across the state’s 21 counties.

Also new this year, Prudential North to Shore community events in Atlantic City will be produced throughout the year. Red Bank and Montclair venues have been added to the lineup as well.

The Prudential North to Shore Festival, produced by NJPAC and with Prudential Financial as title sponsor (since it’s their 150th anniversary), runs from June 14-29. Venues include Prudential Center Arena and New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, and The Stone Pony and Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park.
