It’s almost time for corned beef and cabbage, green beer, céilà (social events) with Irish folk music and traditional dance jigs, and New Jersey is one of the best places for a St. Patrick’s Day party.
A study by novelty T-shirt brand Chummy Tees looked at the quantity, affordability and popularity of St. Patrick’s Day events in each state to determine where to celebrate. They looked at Eventbrite to see where the most parties are taking place on March 16 and 17, and they used Google Keyword Planner to find the number of St. Patrick’s Day-related searches, such as “St. Patrick’s Day events” made each month as part of their index.
Massachusetts was identified as the best state to celebrate, with a total index score of 75.27 out of 100. New Jersey placed ninth with an index score 55.81. New Jersey has the 18th highest number of events with 26, and the 14th highest search popularity, with 196 searches per 100,000 people. NJ has a minimum ticket price of $7.77 on average per event, and each event organizer had an average of 160 followers per 100,000 people.
We know how fun St. Patty’s Day is in NJ. We’ve got parades taking place all month. Atlantic City is March 9; Rumson and Woodbridge are March 10, Bayonne is March 17, and Ringwood is March 23.
