The all-female group of therapists at Wellness Counseling of Bergen County provides children, teens, adults and couples with a safe, judgment-free space to receive emotional support and guidance to move forward in life.
Helping Families Achieve Emotional Health
The highly trained, compassionate practitioners strive to make therapy fun in their warm and welcoming office, where there are lots of games and toys for kids. They pride themselves on their responsiveness to patients and connections within the local community.
“We never leave anyone hanging—you will always get a call back from us with guidance, even if we’re not the right fit for your family,” says Dr. Jennifer Politis, a mom of three. The practice’s mission is to help people achieve emotional health, whether it’s helping families navigate anxiety, depression or divorce or guiding couples through the stress caused by the pandemic.
“We find it very fulfilling to help children, teens and adults through transitions, whether it’s moving from elementary to middle school or working through a quarter-life crisis,” she says.
A Collaborative Approach
The therapists collaborate with each other as well as with school districts, pediatricians and other providers to create the most comprehensive treatment plan for each person. The clinicians are all trained in a variety of approaches and therapies, and are committed to incorporating the newest and most innovative therapeutic techniques into the practice. They strive to help alter long-standing behavior patterns and negative perceptions that hold clients back from experiencing more meaningful, fulfilling lives.
“We are all especially passionate about working with kids—we love how unique and special they are,” Dr. Politis says. “There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing families make positive changes and improve their lives.”
