At University Spine Center, a team of dedicated physicians, surgeons and health professionals combine medical management, physical therapy and pain management therapies to address pediatric and adult spine care with compassion and expertise. Dr. Arash Emami, Dr. Ki Soo Hwang, Dr. Kumar Sinha and Dr. Michael Faloon are all board certified in orthopedic surgery and fellowship trained in pediatric spinal deformities and spine surgery.
Improving Patients’ Quality of Life
“Our mission is to alleviate pain, improve function and enhance quality of life for patients suffering from spine disorders,” says Dr. Emami, the founder of University Spine Center and Chairman of Orthopaedics at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.
The doctors evaluate each patient’s spine disorder case by case, considering a range of treatments. They strive to help patients return to an improved quality of life as quickly as possible and always take the time to listen to their patients to collaborate on individualized treatment plans. “Our goal is to make people better, not to operate on everyone,” Dr. Hwang says.
Cutting-Edge Surgeries
Experts in pediatric and adult scoliosis, the doctors use the most up-to-date technologies to perform minimally-invasive surgeries that are central to the practice—resulting in high patient satisfaction. As Dr. Faloon says: “Parents frequently ask me what their children’s condition means for their future. I’m proud to promise them that they are our patients for life. We do not stop taking care of them. We treat them into adulthood.”
