“Dental visits for children can often be stressful. We pride ourselves on making dental visits exciting and fun to lower dental anxiety and fear—it’s the most rewarding part of what we do,” says Dr. Elisa Velazquez, president of the New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

The dentists take a team approach and work together to improve the dental lives of their patients. High-Tech, Kid-Friendly Offices

The child-friendly practice exclusively uses digital radiography to reduce radiation exposure, as well as digital scanning and a soft tissue laser to perform frenectomies. The orthodontists offer traditional braces as well as Invisalign. “Our offices are very kid-friendly, which you’ll notice as soon as you walk through the door,” she says.

The dentists constantly pursue continuing education to broaden their knowledge of child development to enhance their skills in all of the latest pediatric dental, orthodontic and sedation techniques.

“Kids are so much fun! We love having the opportunity to help improve the dental health of a child…which can lead to a great, healthy smile into adulthood,” Dr. Velazquez says.
