A board-certified neurologist with subspecialty certification in epilepsy, Dr. Megdad Zaatreh prides himself on offering personal, quality care and addressing each patient’s emotional, academic, work and social needs as part of an individualized treatment plan.

His practice provides state-of-the art diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the brain and the nervous system, as well as comprehensive care for patients with seizures or epilepsy. His team is able to conduct some tests in patients’ homes, where children are most comfortable.

“The brain is a mysterious part of the body, and many parents are scared to find themselves in my office,” says the father of three daughters and a son. “We understand that anxiety, so we take the time to explain tests and treatment options every step of the way and do whatever we can to put families at ease.”

Dr. Zaatreh completed a residency in neurology at the University of North Carolina and a two-year epilepsy fellowship at Yale University. He’s published numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine.
