A board-certified orthodontist, Dr. Barbara Fodero has provided quality orthodontic care for children and adults for more than 20 years. Her state-of-the art office not only adheres to the strict sterilization protocols set forth by OSHA and the CDC, but takes further precautionary steps with an added air filtration system and UVC light sterilization to ensure patient safety.
Building Relationships
Dr. Fodero prides herself on creating a warm, friendly environment. Her “boutique” style practice lends itself to social distancing while ensuring individualized patient care. “The most rewarding part of my profession is seeing the transformation in a patient’s smile. It’s fulfilling to improve someone’s self-confidence,” says the mother of two boys. “I also love building relationships—people come in as patients but leave as friends.”
Dr. Fodero embraces advances in digital technology, which have allowed for more efficient treatment with superior outcomes. Digital imaging has eliminated the need for traditional goopy “molds” or impressions of teeth and has enabled custom-fitted appliances that reduce the number of office visits. She is vastly trained in orthodontics to treat both children and adults with a variety of options such as Invisalign, traditional clear and metal braces and self-ligating (Damon) braces.
Giving Back
Dr. Fodero gives back to the community through involvement in local schools, sponsoring children’s athletic teams and providing complimentary orthodontic services through the nonprofit organization Smiles Change Lives.
A member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Dr. Fodero earned her DDS from the University of Michigan, where she graduated first in her class and earned her MS in orthodontics. She is committed to continuing education to provide patients with proven, effective treatments using the latest technology.
