Even if you’ve seen every Disney on Ice to date, this year’s show will be epic because it celebrates Disney’s 100th anniversary, and that means there will be more than 50 stars figure skating around the ice.
The adventure begins when the North Star descends upon Jiminy Cricket reminding you that all magical things start with a wish.
The all-star cast includes Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daisy, of course, but kids of all ages will want to see Tiana from “The Princess and the Frog” pursue her dream of opening a restaurant; hear Aladdin’s three wishes when he finds a magic lamp; and listen to the dreams of Disney Princesses Cinderella, Snow White, Belle and Rapunzel.
You can expect to hear Elsa and Anna perform “Into the Unknown” from “Frozen 2.” Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater from Disney’s and Pixar’s “Cars” will make an appearance alongside Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Rex and Hamm from the “Toy Story” series. You’ll learn about what gifts the Madrigal family from “Encanto” have. And your kids will sing along with Moana, too.
There will be acrobatics, stunts, light shows, special effects and elaborate costumes and sets.
Disney on Ice returns November 9-12 to Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall, 2301 Boardwalk, Atlantic City. Times are 7 pm Thursday and Friday; 12 pm and 4 pm Saturday; and 12 pm Sunday.
There will also be a character meet-and-greet with Elsa and Mirabel. You’ll get to craft and have interactive time with the princesses, plus get your photo taken. Anyone 2 and older who wants to do this must have both a Character Experience ticket and a Disney On Ice show ticket to attend; children must be accompanied by an adult.
