Shakespeare Theatre of NJ –Junior & Senior Corps, The

The Shakespeare Junior & Senior Corps is a dynamic alternative to the typical summer performing arts camp for ages 11-17! The Junior Corps is a two-week summer acting program for all kids, from first-time performers to budding stars. Members participate in classes under the direction of The Theatre’s staff, and meet with professional resident artists in master classes and discussions. The focus of this program is ensemble—and each session culminates in a final presentation that involves the entire group in retelling a piece of classic literature through performance. The Senior Corp is a three-week summer intensive for teens that are serious about growing as performers. The Senior Corps daily classes feature an enhanced focus on Shakespeare and the individual actor. Each session culminates in a final presentation of Shakespearean text. Each day at the Corps is varied, fast-paced, and exciting! Sessions take place June-August.
