We’re already really excited for the Harry Potter New York flagship store to open in just a few weeks near the Flatiron Building in NYC (at 935 Broadway). The much-anticipated store will be home to the largest collection of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts merch in one spot and is filled with props and a wizard-y design. But now we’re even more excited since Butterbeer is on its way.
Inside the store, your little Ron’s and Hermione’s can step into the Butterbeer Bar and sample the sweet (non-alcoholic) drink without having to take a trip to Hogsmeade. The Butterbeer Bar will be full of magic, as expected fans will be greeted by glowing Butterbeer bottles that rise and ‘float’ over the bar, while Butterbeer moves across the ceiling through copper pipes, which seems like the next best thing to the Three Broomsticks.
Once seated at the bar, you can order this butterscotch delight in draft form or from the bottle, and you can even score some Butterbeer ice cream. The drafts are served in a souvenir tankard.
The bottled Butterbeer is made and bottled in the UK and comes in a collectible bottle with a label designed by MinaLima, the design duo behind the graphic props of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts movies. A brand new label has been designed and is exclusive to the NYC location.
Additionally, Evanna Lynch (pictured above), who played Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films, became the first-ever patron of the flagship store’s magnificent Butterbeer Bar.
