
Seeing a Broadway show is always special—but next month, theatergoers will have extra reason to cheer when the Broadway League hosts its first-ever New Jersey Night on Broadway.
This is the first time Broadway has set aside one night for a specific state. Each participating show will add its own Garden State twist.
Participating shows on Wednesday, October 22 include:
- Aladdin
- Beetlejuice
- The Book of Mormon
- Buena Vista Social Club
- Death Becomes Her
- The Great Gatsby
- Hadestown
- Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
- Hell’s Kitchen
- Liberation
- The Lion King
- Maybe Happy Ending
- MJ
- Moulin Rouge! The Musical
- The Queen of Versailles
- SIX: The Musical
- Stranger Things: The First Shadow
- Wicked
The following shows will present their Jersey Night offer on Thursday, October 23:
- & Juliet
- Chicago
- The Outsiders
In 1787, New Jersey became the third state in the union, so on October 22 and 23 only, tickets will be buy one at full price, get a second for $17.87.
Forget trying to drive into Manhattan; NJ Transit will offer buy one, get one free train or bus tickets via the NJ Transit mobile app. You’ll have to select four one-way tickets, and then enter the promo code “NJNIGHT” to get the discount.
And some of the Theatre District’s restaurants will offer dining specials to ticketholders. Participating restaurants include: Aldo Sohm Wine Bar, Applebees 42nd Street, Applebees 50th Street, Bar Mexicana, Becco, Carnegie Diner and Café, Chicken Guy, Gatsby’s Landing, Hard Rock Café, Havana Central, La Masseria, Langans, McHales, Mermaid Oyster Bar, Planet Hollywood, Pulperia, Rosie O’ Gradys, and Spice Symphony.
American Dream will also announce specials to join the celebration.
