The largest indoor/outdoor beachfront water park finally opened its doors in Atlantic City. New Jersey is home to Island Waterpark, 100,000 square feet of fun for the whole family. Although the grand opening was set for June 30, everything was in order on July 4, which was the first operating day.
The family-friendly park features epic water slides, lazy rivers, pools and restaurants as well as outlet shopping.
The water park is on the New Jersey Avenue beach block lot next to Showboat and boasts 11 water slides, a surf simulator and a 10,300-square-foot splash pad. There is a lazy river traveling around most of the park. There’s a special Kids’ Cove, plus a 30-foot-tall treehouse. From mild to wild, there’s fun for all ages. And the best part is that a retractable glass-pane roof makes it feel like it’s always summer inside.
It’s a fantastic non-casino attraction that will even further establish Atlantic City as a fun family destination. Mayor Marty Small is hoping it will give families more reasons to visit AC.
With awesome food options, lounge areas and party rooms, we are willing to double down on the fact that this will definitely be a new go-to destination in AC.
Planning a kid-free stay? Paradise Adult Island includes the Bliss Pool, Peloton bikes, foot massages, swim-up bars and a tanning area. You can make your reservations here.
Tickets start at $69 and are on sale. If you book a stay at the Showboat Hotel, you can get an extra hour at the water park through the Rise N’ Shine package. There is a parking garage nearby.
