The PNC Bank Arts Center is birthing a nightmare of a Halloween attraction. Learn the legend of the Jersey Devil through multiple attractions at “Scared in Jersey” — if you dare.
Every Thursday-Sunday in October, the PNC Bank Arts Center will be home to horror. The new multi-attraction Halloween event, “Scared in Jersey,” weaves the horrific tale of the Jersey Devil’s origin.
According to legend, the Devil’s mother, Mother Leeds, was a witch, and upon learning she was pregnant with her 13th child, she said, “let this one be a devil!” She cast spells to ensure the Devil’s birth, and moments after the baby’s birth in 1735, it began to grow horns, fangs and other monstrous features before it killed everyone, including its own mother.

The Devil’s Midway, where guests can engage in conversation with the Devil’s victims, buy food and scary merchandise.
The Pine Barrens Maze, where guests travel a windy path guarded by large pine trees and haunted by 18th-century ghosts…and the devil himself.
Old Mother Leeds’ Cottage, a theater attraction where visitors can watch the Jersey Devil ghastly entrance into this world in his mother’s cottage.
Blood Drums Stage, where a chilling musical performance occurs every night.
