We are always on the go, and sometimes our health suffers because we get caught up with work, the kids and other responsibilities.
Hackensack Meridian Health is making it easier to stay on top of our health with a new, first-of-its-kind healthcare facility that will be located at Metropark Station in Woodbridge. Thousands of NJ residents commute north to NYC or south to Trenton along NJ Transit’s Northeast Corridor Line, or via Amtrak, every day, and will soon have access to the Hackensack Meridian Health and Wellness Center before or after their ride.
When it opens next year, the wellness center will have more than 60,000 square feet of healthcare services just steps from the station. Services will include primary care, medical specialties, surgical specialties, a sports and spine center, advanced imaging, phlebotomy, rehabilitation services, a retail pharmacy, occupational health services and urgent care.
The facility is part of a larger development of Metropark Station by DOR, a consortium led by Russo Development, that was awarded a $110 million tax credit grant, according to a statement from Hackensack Meridian Health. Governor Phil Murphy had the idea to modernize transportation hubs throughout the state, making them multi-use locations for residences, office space, retail and restaurants, so that people can live, work and play in one location.
Metropark Station is located at 100 Middlesex Essex Turnpike in the Iselin section of Woodbridge.
