A comprehensive touring exhibition about Harry Potter and the Wizarding World is opening tomorrow at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. Harry Potter: The Exhibition celebrates the iconic moments, characters and settings of the beloved books and films through beautifully crafted, immersive environments.
Visitors will get an up-close look at original costumes and authentic props as they embark on a personalized journey through magical environments via the latest immersive design and technology.
Harry Potter: The Exhibition was created and developed by Imagine Exhibitions in partnership with
Warner Bros and Themed Entertainment in association with EMC Presents. The 18,000-square-foot
exhibition features 21 galleries, including The Great Hall, Hogwarts castle, Hagrid’s Hut,
Hogwarts Houses and Newt’s Suitcase. Guests enter the exhibition from the iconic King’s
Cross Station, where they will complete their Visitor Profile, select their Hogwarts house, wand and
Patronus as they set off on their personalized journey.
Visitors’ interactions in each gallery are captured using wristbands that will link to their visitor profiles. It’s a chance to get a look at authentic props and original costumes from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films and an opportunity to engage with magical environments and installations like never before.
Highlights of the exhibition include the Hogwarts Houses gallery which allows guests the
opportunity to experience more personalized moments with the house they select during preregistration. You’ll actually get to experience all of the Hogwarts houses in a celebratory hall featuring the Sorting Hat. There are so many great photo ops here that fans won’t want to miss.
Harry Potter: The Exhibition is open daily from 9:30 am-8 pm and timed tickets are required. While opening weekend for the world premiere is sold out, advance reservations for other dates are strongly recommended. Daytime tickets: 9:30 am-5 pm, adult/$43, child/$39 + includes admission to The Franklin Institute. Evening tickets: 5 pm-8 pm, adult/$30, child/$30.
