The last few days of Six Flags Great Adventure Resort’s Fright Fest are coming up, and the theme park just announced it will remain open on select dates from November 6 to 30.

This weekend, starting in daylight hours, Kids Boo Fest on Saturday and Sunday includes trick-or-treating, fall photo ops, live entertainment, and Halloween activities minus real scares.

Once the sun goes down, there will be all the scare zones, nighttime shows, rides in the dark and worlds of four iconic horror film franchises designed to terrify you.

Beware of the costumed creatures and fog-filled streets. New this year is Plaza De La Muerte (Plaza del Carnaval), which joins the fan faves CarnEvil (Boardwalk), Curse of Blackbeard’s Bounty (Lake Front), Exile Canyon (Frontier Adventures) and The Bloody Fountain (Main Street).

The “Undead Entertainment” includes The Awakening, which kicks off every night with a haunting procession of the park’s ghouls. “Unleashed” is held multiple times nightly in the Showcase Theater as a circus-style stage production. There is also a freak show and blade drummers.

This year’s haunted mazes are based on Army of the Dead, where you will be trapped inside the quarantine zone with flesh-hungry zombies; Texas Chainsaw Massacre, where Leatherface haunts the streets of Harlow, Texas; The Conjuring Universe, complete with Warrens’ occult museum, Annabelle, The Nun, and the Perron farmhouse; and Trick ‘r Treat, a twisted Candy Trail nightmare.

There are other terrifying mazes, including Asylum behind the gates, Big Top Terror and its demonic clowns, and The Witches Reflection labyrinth through mirrors.

Most parts of Fright Fest are included with admission, but you must buy a separate Haunted Attractions Pass if you want to brave the haunted mazes.
Fright Fest activities begin at dusk and are recommended for guests ages 13 and up.
Fright Fest presented by SNICKERS® will be open Thursday through Friday through November 2.
Then, during November, you’ll have a few more chances on the weekends to ride all your favorite rides again before the park closes for the winter.
Military and first responders get free admission November 6 to 8 and 15 and 16, plus up to six family members can get a day pass for $19.99 each.
On November 15, the park will host a special Day of Giving, benefitting The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal and Northern New Jersey, and A Kid Again. More than 3,000 free tickets, meals, drinks, and parking passes will be donated to families who need a fun day out.
Great Adventure is located at 1 Six Flags Blvd. in Jackson.
