Starting this weekend, The Walt Disney Archives is opening its vault of treasures for Disney 100: The Exhibition at The Franklin Institute in Philly. You’ll get to see more than 250 of the organization’s “crown jewels” to celebrate the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company. You and your family will have the opportunity to view rarely seen original artworks and artifacts, costumes, props and other memorabilia. The world premiere is February 18, but if you want to go this opening weekend, get your tickets soon because Saturday is already sold out.
There will be lots of special behind-the-scenes glimpses into the creation of the company’s most popular characters, films, shows and attractions from Disneyland to Walt Disney World and beyond.
Additionally, there will be ten themed galleries featuring moving stories, interactive installations and background information that will take you on a journey, starting with “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” up through 2022’s “Strange World.” Walk through all the areas to see your favorite movie characters and scenes on display.
You’ll also get a peek at the other members of the Disney family from Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel and National Geographic.
