If you have a free afternoon on February 26, you’ll definitely want to get tickets to see Jeff Dunham live on stage at The Prudential Center. The comedian is rip-roaring funny with his “sidekicks,” his puppets like Peanut, Jose Jalapeno on a Stick, Achmed, Walter and Bubba J.
You’ll probably catch yourself trying to figure out how he throws his voice to the dummies. But once you get over the magic of Dunham on stage, you’ll be cracking up at his standup, jokes and banter with his friends in the box.
Dunham’s an equal-opportunity offender who makes fun of President Biden and former President Trump, international issues, southern living and anything else he thinks is fair game.
Dunham taped a new one-hour special for Comedy Central, “Me the People,” that debuted in November 2022 which became the channel’s highest rated standup special since Dunham’s prior broadcast, “Jeff Dunham’s Completely Unrehearsed Last-Minute Pandemic Holiday Special.” His jokes and humor livened up lockdown during a global pandemic. Chances are you’ve seen one of his 11 comedy specials. and if you haven’t, you’re missing out!
Now that things are returning back to normal, he’s been touring North America for “Still Not Canceled.” As a way of giving back while on tour, Dunham and his wife Audrey created the Jeff Dunham Family Fund, and through their organization, a portion of every ticket sold is given to various charities and charitable organizations of all kinds.
The show is presented by Tate Entertainment. It starts at 3 pm Feb. 26. Tickets are $54.50 and are on sale now online or call 973-757-6625. The Prudential Center is located at 25 Lafayette St., Newark.
