Things are going to get topsy-turvy in NJ this spring. UniverSoul Circus just announced its 2019 tour showcasing acts from five continents and 13 countries.

From April 3-14, performers will be strutting their stuff at Weequahic Park in Newark. The circus stops in Brooklyn next (Floyd Bennett Field at Aviator Sports, April 17-May 12), then Mount Vernon (Hutchinson Field, May 15-May 27).

UniverSoul brings international talents together for a one-of-a-kind performance that strives to send a message of global inclusivity and unity. This show is known for its audience participation and a melting pot of musical and cultural influences. Your kids will be in awe of the towering Moko Jumbie, a stilt walker inspired by the “ghost healer” of the same name in African folklore. Mongolian acrobats and Trinidad & Tobago’s Limbo Queen will blow them away, not to mention the firebreathing, motorbike stunts, theatrical performances and music that spans Latin, jazz, R&B, pop, hip-hop and gospel genres.

Tickets are $22-40. If you’re shopping presale today through February 28, use the code CIRCUS when you check out. General tickets go live March 1. Weequahic Park is located at 140 Meeker Ave., Newark. For more information, visit universoulcircus.com.
