Whippany Polar Express

It might seem crazy in the midst of summer to be thinking about Christmas and snow but Whippany’s Polar Express often sells out fast in a typical year, and since they didn’t run in 2020 due to COVID, these might be the hottest tickets of the season. Don’t miss out on that holiday magic just because your mind is in the summer camp zone.

The popular Polar Express took time over the past year to make a new and improved version of their beloved show just for 2021. It is still your favorite THE POLAR EXPRESS™ experience,  just with a few new surprises and a brand new script. The coach seating has also gotten a major upgrade. They’ve made it so all the seats face the performance area of the car, giving passengers to the North Pole a good view of all the action so your kiddos won’t miss a minute.

There will also be new cookies! Walkers Shortbread is the Official Onboard Treat of THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride for this year. And even the parking lot got an upgrade for 2021, so you’ll have a new lot with more spaces for guests.  All health measures by the state and federal government for COVID will be followed. Details for that will be announced closer to your departure dates.

If you’ve never taken a ride on THE POLAR EXPRESS™ before, you’re in for a treat. This officially licensed ride allows passengers to relive the classic story on a one-hour trip to the North Pole. Conductors in costumes will punch your golden tickets, and hosts will serve cookies and hot cocoa while you hear the classic tale.

Santa boards the train during the ride and gives each guest a silver sleigh bell to commemorate their ride. And Mr. Claus’s helpers will carol throughout the ride to spread the holiday spirit. First-class passengers also get a collectible ceramic mug to take home.

Tickets go on sale at 9 am on July 6 for dates throughout November and December. There are daytime rides for the little ones who don’t want to stay out past their bedtimes. And children are happily encouraged to wear their cutest PJs for the ride. Coach tickets start at $48/adult and $42/child, with additional charges for popular dates. First-class tickets start at $70/adult and $65/child. Get your tickets at whippanythepolarexpressride.com.
