Sahara Sam’s is now Big Kahuna’s! Fans of the popular year-round water park in West Berlin will be thrilled to learn that it’s gotten a total makeover, including a new name and a new island theme. Big Kahuna’s is 70,000 square feet of wet and wild fun with a retractable roof, meaning the party continues regardless of the weather outside. Its two-acre outdoor water is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day and is slated to open for the season on May 28.
Kids will love the wave pool, wide rides and slide, and the state-of-the-art arcade while parents will enjoy getting a drink from the Shipwrecked Tiki Bar. There are private party rooms for rent as well as private cabanas.
Fans of Sahara Sam’s will notice some new improvements to the water park including the Island Time Café, featuring all-new Caribbean fare and Unleash Cheese’s gourmet macaroni and cheese, “The Chill Zone,” an updated arcade and eatery as well as live island-themed entertainment monthly including steel drums and Polynesian dancers.
The park also has improved safety and cleanliness procedures and will soon debut mobile ordering for food and beverages.
