GREENWOOD LAKE AIR SHOW

With great June weather comes some awesome family-friendly activities for you and your crew to enjoy. This weekend, head out for some strawberry picking or fresh lavender before the season ends. Kids will love going out to the air show or to see Flip Circus. You can also check out the many themed festivals happening across the state. It’s uplifting fun that will make for an unforgettable weekend!

West Milford
Friday – Sunday
Look up to the sky for this family fun activity. There’s a full weekend schedule of aerobatics, maneuvers and stunts taking place amongst the clouds.

Lebanese Festival
Saint Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church, Somerset
Friday – Sunday
Experience Lebanese music and dance, food and pastries, a hookah bar, games and crafts plus raffles and prizes.

FLIP CIRCUS/EDUARDO HERNANDEZ

FLIP Circus
Friday – Monday
Menlo Park Mall, Edison
This event celebrates the great American circus tradition with world-class clowns, acrobats, jugglers and daredevils displaying their talents, and no audience member is more than 50 feet from the ring.

Feast Day of Saint Anthony
Thursday – Sunday
Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park
Rides, games of chance, live entertainment all supplement an abundance of Italian and American food. There will be a St. Anthony procession. Plus, nightly and super 50/50 raffles.

Two Gentlemen of Verona
Friday – Sunday
Kelsey Theatre, West Windsor
Proteus only has eyes for Julia, but one look at Silvia changes everything. Now he’s smitten with his best friend’s lover, but Julia has no intention of going away. Events spin out of control as romantic rivals face off in this comic tale.

Princeton Festival
Morven Museum & Garden, Princeton
Friday – Sunday
This year’s Princeton Festival will include three staged operas, chamber music, orchestral and pops concerts, plus cabaret and jazz nights. Opening Night is June 10 with “Seven Deadly Sins.” Opera “Scalia/Ginsburg” and “The Impresario” will be presented Saturday and Sunday.

Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Tribal Nation’s 41st Annual Powwow
Salem County Fairgrounds, Woodston
Saturday – Sunday
This fun event for the whole family will highlight the Lenni-Lenape people’s traditions, songs, food and culture. There will be Aztec dancers, Birds of Prey, a non-competing host drum, Sunday worship service and a car show.

FRIDAY

I Love 2 Read Book & Literary Festival
Rahway River Park, Rahway
Foster a child’s love for reading with book signings, readings, improv performances, storytelling, spoken word and even free books. The festival continues on Fridays through June 24, from 4-7 p.m.

Sloan Park Festival
Bloomingdale
Come down to Sloan Park for a day of family fun, local vendors, food and live music by ShamRock School of Music.

Bloomfield Food Truck & Music Festival
St. Thomas the Apostle, Bloomfield
There will be food trucks, live music, a beer/sangria/margarita garden, face painting, hatchet throwing, a petting zoo, sand art, vendors, raffles and more for kids and adults alike to enjoy.

10th annual Mercer County Cultural Festival & Food Truck Rally

Hunterdon County Community Day

Rose Day Festival

The Rudolf W. van der Goot Rose Garden displays thousands of roses, with both modern and historic significance. Visitors are encouraged to stroll through the gardens, enjoy music, meet local artisans and indulge in some great food.

Golden Twenties Lawn Party

Put on your dancing shoes and join the East Brunswick Arts Coalition, Museum and Historical Society for an afternoon of food, drinks, music and fun. Enjoy live jazz and dancing flappers in signature 1920s style.

Hopewell Valley Arts Council Color Fun Run & Walk
Woolsey Park, Titusville
Individuals, teams and families can walk, run or anything in between. Watch whatever you wear turn into a technicolor masterpiece as you pass through color stations along the route and volunteers shower participants with food-grade dyed cornstarch. The run will end with a fun dance celebration and one last group color blast.
