Newsweek just released America’s Best In-State Hospitals for 2024, and nine hospitals in New Jersey made the list.
Newsweek evaluated 600 hospitals across the country using data from global market research and consumer data firm Statista; plus an online survey for healthcare professionals; patient surveys; and hospital quality metrics from Medicare and Medicaid.
The final scores were weighted on peer recommendations, patient experience, hospital quality metrics and implementation of standardized Patient-Reported Outcome Measures.
New Jersey’s best hospitals for 2024 are:
- Morristown Medical Center, Morristown
- Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack
- Overlook Medical Center, Summit
- Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, Englewood
- RWJBarnabas Health: Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick
- Cooper University Hospital, Camden
- Valley Hospital, Ridgewood
- Chilton Medical Center, Pompton Plains
- Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick
