There’s no denying New Jersey is a foodie state. Beyond word of mouth and your regular spots, what is your source of recs for the best restaurants in NJ? One source we love is Yelp, which just released its list of top restaurants in New Jersey, even recommending which dishes to try.

Saigon Subs & Café in Morristown takes the top spot at No. 1. Yelpers love their braised pork belly Banh Mi, Nem Muong BBQ pork, papaya salad, grilled lemongrass chicken rice plate, Saigon Special sandwich and Thit Bo Satay sandwich.

Li Beirut in Collingswood is right behind at No. 2. The reviews rave about their mixed grill, especially grilled lamb chops, Ghazal Beirut, batata harra, Fattoush salad and baba ghanouj.

Third is The Pasta Shop in Denville. Diners come here for chicken parm, pappardelle Bolognese, rigatoni alla vodka, squid ink pasta, spicy king crab, and linguine and clams.

Next at No. 4 is Peck Peck Korean Fried Chicken in Teaneck. They’re known for chicken wings (soy garlic and salt-and-pepper top the list), Korean Fried Crack, chicken croquettes and a chicken strip bowl.

Fifth on the list is The Jellyfish Café in Wildwood Crest. Top menu items include Man O War, shrimp hoagie, veggie omelet, chipped beef, Italian omelet, eggs benedict and French toast.

Fiore’s House of Quality in Hoboken placed sixth. Reviewers love the roast beef, roasted red pepper sandwich, corned beef special, corned beef and mutz, prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich, and Italian tuna salad as their faves.

Seventh is 618 Restaurant in Freehold. Aside from the gorgeous décor (it’s been called one of the most romantic restaurants in the state), Yelpers love the short rib ravioli, crab cakes, skirt steak, sticky toffee cake, angry shrimp pasta, stuffed mushrooms, pork chop, filet mignon and halibut.

Casa d’Paco in Newark comes in at eighth place. When you’re craving Portuguese food, come by for patatas bravas, garlic shrimp, grilled octopus, Aguacate Relleno, breaded baby squid, stuffed avocado and/or filet mignon.

No. 9 is Drew’s Bayshore Bistro in Keyport. Voodoo shrimp, jumbo lump crab cakes, Berkshire pork belly, escargot, Southwestern Caesar salad and crawfish Etouffee top the list of menu favorites.

Rounding out the Top 10 is Chick’s Deli in Cherry Hill. Regulars return for cheesesteak – especially buffalo chicken – and the hot pork with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone.
