SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is ready for its grand opening on Thursday, October 21 and it’s one amazing, multisensory experience you don’t want to miss. If you think you’ve seen New York City and its skyline before, hold on, because this is no ordinary observation deck. Located near Grand Central Terminal in New York City, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is an immersive, four-story, 65,000 square-foot space near the top of a skyscraper that allows you to see and experience the city like never before.
The exhibit allows visitors to step out into skyboxes, called Levitation, over the city, allowing you to look straight down onto Madison Avenue.
There’s also an immersive art experience from Kenzo Digital called “Air.” In a mirrored space, NYC is reflected back at visitors from different angles.
You can also try “Ascent,” a glass elevator that whisks visitors along the side of the skyscraper on a five-minute ride up over 1,200 feet.
Finish off your experience with amazing food and drink by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Events at APRÈS, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt’s sky-high lounge and café.
SUMMIT One Vanderbilt opens October 21st and will initially be open Thursday through Sunday. Proof of vaccination is required for entry and guests under age 12 must wear a face covering. Due to the transparent nature of the flooring, guests are encouraged to wear pants, shorts or tights. Tickets start at $39 for adults, or $59 for access to Ascent, the glass elevator experience.
