The Beast
CIRCLE LINE

You probably know Circle Line as the home of New York City’s most famous sightseeing cruises. Now the company is taking The Beast, the city’s fastest jet-powered thrill ride, out of hibernation. It debuts this Saturday, May 7.

Creators of The Beast liken it to a roller coaster on water. The speedboat attraction brings guests roaring down the Hudson River from Pier 83 to the Statue of Liberty making twists and turns along the way for tons of splashy action. Be prepared to get wet on this boat! Be prepared for some serious volume too, thanks to the boat’s twin jet engines.

With cruises departing at every hour, six days a week (closed Mondays), the speed boat, equipped with 1400 BHP-horsepower and two ZF 3000 marine gears, rockets riders through the water at 40 knots – that’s about 45 miles per hour! So you’ll get a total adrenaline rush as you take in views of the city’s famous landmarks.

Tickets start at $30/adult and $25/child for a 30-minute adventurous ride. If you plan to bring the kids, remember that every child requires a seat (no kids allowed on your lap) and must have a seat belt on. Only kids 40 inches or taller are allowed to ride. Would you and your crew brave The Beast?
