A board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Mohammed Erakat goes above and beyond to put his young patients at ease, and always welcomes parents in the treatment room. “I chat with kids about school and their favorite TV shows, and explain treatments in an age-appropriate way,” says the father of two.

Dr. Erakat blends his background in dentistry, medicine and surgery to practice the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He performs tooth extractions and wisdom teeth removals, as well as treatment for tooth fractures and impacted teeth.

Dr. Erakat’s brand new, state-of-the-art office features digital X-rays and comfortable treatment chairs. He can put patients to sleep when necessary, and offers laughing gas in kid-friendly flavors like grape and bubblegum to provide pain-free treatment. The practice also boasts a newly-revamped website.

A fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Erakat holds doctoral degrees from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and New Jersey Medical School.
